Trump Says It Is Fixed; Therefore, It Might As Well Be

In 2024 Trump successfully made immigration at the Southern Border a key political issue and vowed to be the person to fix. It didn’t take long for Trump to take action by signing an executive order related to curbing immigration. And as far as many of American’s are concerened, that’s job done.

One of the Trump Team’s most successful strategies in the once again President’s 2024 election campaign, was feeding the concerns of voters regarding the rate of immigration into the United States. Particularly, the rate of immigration occuring the U.S’s southern border with Mexico.

Trump often reffered to his opponent Kamala Harris as the ‘Border Czar’, who was responsible for what he and his supporters claimed to be alarming rates of southern border crossing and entries of illegal immigrants. Additionally, a significant number of American voters were influenced by his claims that he would fix the ‘crisis’ at the border and put an end to rising rates of illegal immigrants entering and living in the U.S.A.

It did not take long for Trump to take action on his promise to curb illegal immigration by signing an executive order to suspend all entry of illegal immigrants into the United States. And while we are yet to see any further action or results of this order, as far as the average Trump supporter is concerened, this is problem solved.

The rate of illegal immigration is unlikely to have any direct impact on the life of the average U.S citizen and the vast majority of Americans are unlikely to feel any noticable impact. Whether or not the rate of illegal immigration is high, low, bad or good, is determined very little by personal experience, but by rather what they have been told the severity is, and what impact it is having on them.
